How personal data is handled by the ICAL AA

Here you will find information on how personal data is collected and processed.

The ICAL AA is responsible for the treatment of personal information.  The ICAL AA treats personal information in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament (GDPR) and supplementary national legislation on data privacy. These regulations are called ‘data protection regulations’ or ‘GDPR’ in the text below.

What does the ICAL AA do with personal data?

The ICAL AA uses personal data to accomplish our mission as a non-profit organization and ICAL alumni network.  Personal data is used only to accomplish this goal. Only the personal data required to meet this goal will be processed.  As such, the ICAL AA notably makes the information you have provided available for other registered users (if you have permitted this) and stores your contact information to keep you informed or news and events. 

Who can use your personal information?

The ICAL AA will not hand over personal information to other parties without either your explicit permission or another lawful basis.

How long does the ICAL AA keep my personal information?

We store your personal data only as long as it is needed to accomplish our goals, or as long as the relevant laws demand.

Rights according to data protection regulations

GDPR gives individuals a number of rights as concerns the ICAL AA:

  • Right to correct personal data

  • Right to have your personal data erased
